The story was awesome and I had a lot of fun seeing the character interactions. It combined my two favorite titles from DW5 and SW2 into one game where I could play up to three characters. This is my favorite Warriors title by a long shot. When I first heard there was gonna be a cross over game, I thought it was fake. But, Yukimura, Hanzo, Ina, Ginchiyo, and Nobunaga are definitely top tier for me. It's hard to pick a favorite character out of this game, since I love so many of them. But, this is another game where I got everyone's 4th weapons as well.

Where as with recent DW titles, characters blend in. I think overall I prefer the characters in SW more to DW because they tend to stand out more. I spent so much time in the tower survival mode just trying to get gold so that I could buy new abilities for the characters. Everything felt vastly improved over the first SW game. Plus, this is where Jamieson Price started voicing Lu Bu and he has been my favorite VA for that character. And the soundtrack was another banger as well. Some of the best gaming moments in my life happened with this game. I was living with my cousin when this one came out, and every day after school we'd go home and play co-op. This was the last of the classic DW games where each character had their own story. And DW3's Hu Lao Gate is one of my favorite versions of that level, although I really do like DW4's version as well. He had an awesome horse, an awesome moveset, his own theme song. Lu Bu, from this game onward, would go on to become my favorite character. When I beat him, it really felt like an achievement. Since this was the first DW I owned, it meant I had unlimited time to play, which meant, unlike my short time with DW2, I'd come face to face with Lu Bu. Damn, there are so many good tracks in this game. The music I think was pretty much the same a DW2, but this is the game where I actually started paying attention to the music.

And I had a lot of fun unlocking all the items in the game. I went out of my way to get everyone's 4th weapon.

Each level felt like it took nearly an hour. Then I got it again on the original Xbox. Once on PS2, and then I think I gave it away to my friend for some reason. Now, when I think of DW, this is the one I usually remember the most. Oh, how I miss the elder sword and it's move set. Zhou Yu became one of my favorite characters. Mostly because we had it for a limited of time and I think there was only one save slot. I never even beat the game with a single character. The move sets were so cool and the game was pretty difficult from what I can remember. I don't remember a whole lot about it, but my uncle had rented it from the video store and I couldn't believe how many enemies were on screen at the same time. I guess it was technically the first DW game since the original was a fighting game.
